Reduce single-use plastic for 30 days

plastic-waste-ocean.jpeg

The islands of trash—made up mostly of plastic—are spreading in our oceans at an alarming rate. This is a result of the addictive throwaway culture we’ve created, and it’s having a devastating impact on our planet (and our health).

According to the UN Environment, most of the plastic waste in the world—approximately 8 million tons each year—ends up in the environment.

Consider this:

  • Only 9% of all plastic waste ever produced has been recycled.

  • About 12% has been incinerated.

  • The rest — 79% — has accumulated in landfills, dumps or the natural environment.

So, yeah... that plastic straw, fork, bag, or water bottle that you just used is more likely to end up in our ocean than not.

We know it’s not realistic to completely eliminate single-use plastic from your life. Instead, we’re going to focus replacing three specific items for the next 30 days so you can begin to build better, eco-friendly habits.

This cozo is a good fit for anyone. It will take all of us to save our planet. You included.

Are you in?
