Step-by-step guide
OK, let’s get started.
Step 1
Check your calendar to see what you have going on in the next couple of months and choose a day that you want to start your 30-day yoga challenge. You can start on any day that best suits you—it can be the first of the month, mid-month, or somewhere in between.
Just make sure to be realistic about your commitment. For example, if you are about to go on a vacation, perhaps you wait until you are back. Whatever date you choose, lock it in and mark it on your calendar.
Step 2
If you don’t have a yoga mat, invest in one. Here is a list of the 10 best yoga mats, according to VeryWellFit. It’s a solid range of options with varying prices from $25 to $150.
Step 3
Once you’ve locked in the date and have your mat ready:

Adriene’s videos range from 15 minutes to 35 minutes, so they are quick and easy to do on a consistent basis. (There are other 30-day yoga challenges available online, but this is our favorite)
Step 4
Get ready to start your 30-day yoga journey. Set aside 45 minutes (max) in your schedule for the next 30 days to complete your yoga practice. Try your best to do your yoga practice around the same time every day. Mornings are a great time to incorporate yoga as the stretching gets you ready to start your day.
If that’s not possible, opt for yoga sessions before lunch, or in the early evenings.
The key is to do it everyday for 30 days!
Step 5
This is a great challenge to reflect upon throughout the 30 days. Take a minute or two each day to write down how you feel after the yoga practice and any other thoughts that come to mind.
If you find it challenging — remember this is a good thing. Focus on the benefits of yoga. Be patient with yourself. And above all else, keep an open mind.
